I got the chance to take photos of some of the sophomores in my sorority for recruitment earlier this semester. They are precious and not camera shy in any way. We went downtown to Morris Avenue to visit the Peanut Depot and check out the train tracks.

Marketing Farmers
For my Public Relations class, Leslie Graf and I took a little trip down I-65 to check out the Alabama Farmers Market. We are doing a project for them, so we are literally marketing for farmers. Wordplay! But I digress. It was open-air, with friendly people and good-looking fruit & veggies (even though I don’t normally think vegetables look tasty). The man working there was so fun to talk to. He said he had been working there since 1957, “before you were even thought of!” He attempted to juggle apples for us. I ended up buying those Alabama Grown Golden Delicious apples and I ate two in the hour after I left the market. It’s a miracle my body didn’t reject them after all the bad food it’s used to getting.
Zeta Acre
The first home tailgate of the year was this past weekend. Samford played West Alabama. I brought Millie, who quickly stole the show of course. My sorority had the biggest tailgate on the Quad and was appropriately named “The Zeta Acre.” We had three tents all spread out with tables in between and great mexican food from Lime.
Kids Rock
Boys will be boys & girls will be girls. Grace is one of the sassiest little divas I know, and Jared is your typical little boy. This was a fun shoot. Man was it hard to get them to stand still though! Luckily, I like goofy pictures better than a cheesy smile! What better way to show the personality of your kids?
PS–I’m obsessed with these huge rocks! Would you guess that we are in the middle of town?
Tailgate
I know it’s barely even summer break now, but you’re crazy if you can honestly say you aren’t excited for tailgate season to come back around.
Lomography
Lomography is a trendy type of photography that has become a world-wide phenomenon since it first exploded onto the photography scene in the 1990s. Below are some pictures that I took using both my DSLR and photoshop, and some free apps I downloaded to my iPhone. I carried both around with me for one day and took pictures from my hip, for the most part.

Bulldog Baseball vs. Auburn
Samford University’s baseball team hosted a game against Auburn University on March 27, 2012. The game had an explosive ending when Samford’s Phillip Ervin hit a walk-off grand slam to push the Bulldogs ahead of the Tigers for an 8-5 win.
