Zeta Acre

The first home tailgate of the year was this past weekend. Samford played West Alabama. I brought Millie, who quickly stole the show of course. My sorority had the biggest tailgate on the Quad and was appropriately named “The Zeta Acre.”  We had three tents all spread out with tables in between and great mexican food from Lime.

Lomography

Lomography is a trendy type of photography that has become a world-wide phenomenon since it first exploded onto the photography scene in the 1990s. Below are some pictures that I took using both my DSLR and photoshop, and some free apps I downloaded to my iPhone. I carried both around with me for one day and took pictures from my hip, for the most part.

Rawr Fingasaurs

In photography class, we did a Dollar Tree challenge. We got one item and did a photoshoot with it. Luckily, I found these FingaSaurs and they were pretty great. Mr. Beeson even enjoyed modeling them for me.

Step Sing 2012 came to an exciting close on February 18 in Samford University‘s Wright Center. Dudes-A-Plenty, an all-male independent group, took home their third consecutive Sweepstakes trophy.  DAP’s show was titled “Rush” and the men portrayed miners during the gold rush of ’49.
